Okay, so after the binder with information about the contributors and friends of the "Alex O'Loughlin Fans for Donate Life" website, I'm on to the next gift: An amazing drawing of Alex by my friend Maud from the Netherlands. I knew I wouldn't have much time to get his reaction to it (my Meet & Greet was wedged between two interviews), and I thought I help him out by opening the wrapper. Boy, was I wrong!
As soon as I laid one finger on the wrapper, Alex begins with his "Proper Gift Giving 101" lesson. Now, the exact words uttered will probably have to be extracted from the space-time-continuum in the far future by highly advanced physicists, so I'm more or less paraphrasing here: "You're not trying to open MY gift, are you?!"
I'm sorry, but I have no recollection of any words from that moment, as I was sort of temporarily incapacitated ... all I could manage is quickly giving him the gift.
"Sabine??!!"
"Don't you know ANYTHING about Christmas??!!"
Alex happily shows Maud's gift. It's a black & white drawing, all in dots. Maud asked me to find a nice frame, and I got this "masculine" wrought iron frame for it. And, yeah, it's kinda heavy :)
