| US TRANSPLANT GAMES |
Thanks to everyone who stopped by the Chris Klug Foundation booth at the US Transplant Games Expo on July 30-31 in Madison, WI. Some of our Donor Dudes were on-site to share our work, and pass out some cool Donor Dudes schwag. We also shared information and a glimpse at our Educational DVD project, which will be ready in time for school to start this fall. Thanks to our Donor Dudes who ran the show: Jonathan, Michael and Isabelle Woodrow, Thomas Clark, Michael Wells and Chris Klug! |
| 2010 WARPED TOUR |
For the third year in a row, CKF rocked the Vans Warped Tour at various cities across the country. This year we hosted stops in Salt Lake City, Denver and this weekend, we'll be part of the last stop of the Tour, taking place in Hillsboro, OR. At each of the stops, our Donor Dudes met many kids that have been affected by organ donation; recipients, friends of individuals that were donors, family members who had donated or received an organ. They also met many young people who showed us their green "Donate Life" bracelets from last year. It's always pleasantly surprising to see how many kids we talk to that have already chosen to mark their license supporting donation. Be sure to check out the photos of the event in our Photo Gallery! Thanks to everyone who volunteered to help us spread the word on the importance of organ and tissue donation this year-Mike, Brian, Missy, Chris, Hillary, Rachel and others...and to everyone who stopped by our booth to check us out! |

| WINTER X GAMES 15 | ||||||||||
For the first time in 2010, CKF was an official part of Winter X Games, having been invited to be a part of the Team ESPN tent. It was an amazing event for us, with a constant line out the door of people who wanted to learn more about our cause. We've been invited back to be an official part of the event in 2011! Winter X Games 15 will be held from Jan. 27 - 30, 2011 in Aspen, Colo. For the third straight year, the Winter X Games was ESPN's highest-rated and most-viewed, and more than 43 million viewers tuned in to watch on ESPN and ESPN2 in 2010. The ESPN telecasts posted a 1.2 household rating, representing an average of 1,147,000 households. In addition, both ESPN and ESPN2 recorded their highest-rated and most-viewed individual Winter X telecasts (1.3 on ESPN and a 0.8 on ESPN2). Winter X Games 14 also set a new attendance record in Aspen at Buttermilk Mountain with a total of 84,100 spectators over four days, beating the previous Aspen best of 76,150 set in 2007 -- an increase of nine percent.
